The Walking Dead

I feels as though almost everyone has seen The Walking Dead except me. However, last week I decided that I was going to watch it (since I didn't have anything else to do (yeah right...)) and I freakin' love it. I'm on one of the last episodes of the third season and I got to say that it is one of the best series I've ever watched. Normally I don't go for horror series but this series is not just about the zombies. It's about relationships, survival and human behaviour and I think it's really intresting. Speaking of tv-series, it's less than a week until the season premiere of Game of Thrones. What I'm most exited about is Arya's story (I mean, you can't do anything but love Maisie William's performance) and what's happening at the wall. And of course, anything with Daenerys will be awesome. I can't say that I know exactly what's going to happen. Last year when I read A Song of Ice and Fire I read the books in one row and I have some difficulties with distinguishing the books from eachother. So it will be some surprises for me aswell, even though I know the main plot.

Game of Thrones Ascent

I am not the person who plays a lot of video games. The clostest I've been to actually play a proper video game (before this week) was probably the times when I've bought my cousin some video games. However, recently I've started to play Game of Thrones Ascent and it's really good! It's a strategy RPG with battles, intrigues and trading opportunities, and you get to follow the event of the book as well as some other stories set in Westeros. In this game you play a lord or a lady who's supposed to maintain his or hers lands, fight against criminals as well as other nobles. It doesn't include real combat and it's more of a political game and the success depends on what kind of decisions you make and what alliances you join. Suprisingly enough, I really like this game and I've already spent way to much time playing it when I've should've been listening to my teachers. Since I've not played so many video games prior this one I don't really know how this one compares to others but at least I thought it was fun, easy to understand and you can play it on your own (which I think is great because not that many of my friends enjoy playing video games, haha).

DIY Game of Thrones snowflake

I am all for DIY-projects. Especially when it envolves one of my favourite fandoms, Game of Thrones. Since it is quite some time until the next season I searched on youtube in the hope of finding some Game of Thrones related things and I found this:

So adorable and fun to do. I tried to do it and although it was quite difficult in the beginning it got easier towards the end and I actually think it turned out quite well. All you need is a pair of scissors (I started out with a pair of quite big scissors but switched them for a pair of really small scissors since it was easier to cut out all the small parts with that one) a printer and some paper. The patterns for doing these snowflakes can be found on this website. I made the snowflakes for House Targaryen and House Stark since they are my favourite houses but there are several other house-patterns on the website.

Since it's only a couple of days until Christmas I want to take the opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and I hope you'll have time to take it easy and simply enjoy the holiday.
